1904 FC Wins Benefit Friendly Against UPSL’s White Tigers FC

Posted in

1904 FC came out on top in an offseason friendly against Escodido-based WhiteTigers FC, with the final scoreboard flashing 4-1 for San Diego.

Moe Espinoza (#10) opened the score for 1904 FC with a screamer from 26 yards out after receiving a pass from Christian Enriquez (#8).

Kazuma Suzuki (#36) added to the count after receiving a through ball from Nelson Flores Blanco (#11) in the box and putting the ball past the keeper’s left side.

1904 FC made the most of a failed free kick by White Tigers and countered for the team’s third goal of the afternoon. After controlling a long throw, Espinoza found Tito Ramirez Jr. (#9) who finished the play by hitting the back of the net.

The final goal of the night came after Hanif Wright (#23) found Suzuki in the box, with the Japanese-born forward sliding into the cross to bang the ball in with his studs.

The exhibition match held at Ramona High School also served as a fundraiser for our brother in sport Armando “Zurdo” Macias. The White Tigers player is out of action after suffering a fracture in his left leg during an UPSL league match last weekend. All proceeds from the gate went toward supporting our fellow footballer.
