Medical Report: Goalkeeper Jean Antoine out for six weeks on injury

Posted in

San Diego 1904 FC starting goalkeeper Jean Antoine will be out of action for an estimated eight weeks after sustaining injuries in this Saturday’s hard-fought victory over the Oakland Roots at SDCCU Stadium.

The 25-year-old Antoine, born in Haiti, was substituted at the 71st minute of play this Saturday, with Marcus Norris covering the goal in his stead for the rest of the night. Antoine has played 251 minutes out of a possible 270 across all three league matches to date.

Antoine is expected to be inactive in the remaining fixtures in the NISA Fall Showcase season, which include two road games against Cal United in Irvine, a home game against the Los Angeles Force on November 2, and the plausible West Coast Championship match on November 16.

The entire 1904 FC family wishes Jean a full, successful recovery.
